Musicians and wanna-be musicians, get ready for the 2008 Targhee Bluegrass Camp! This event entails three and a half days of learning, jamming, and fun that preceded the Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival. Located at the resort, the setting is ideal for getting away from the real world and spending time in the mountains picking and singing.

• 3.5 days of high level instruction
• Hearty meals and comfortable accommodations
• Lots of jamming
• Evening performances
• World class setting
• Top notch instructors

Using bluegrass music as the common language, the camp focus is on teaching individual instrumental skills, group playing and jamming. Each day features morning and afternoon classes on your chosen instrument, elective workshops, jam sessions (both structured and unstructured) and evening performances making this Targhee Institute event extraordinary.

In addition, students have opportunities to take advantage of the wide range of outdoor activities that Grand Targhee has to offer: including hiking, biking, tennis, swimming, chair lift rides and more. Grand Targhee is situated at 8,000 feet in the heart of the Tetons - an inspiring setting with spectacular views.

Offerings for this summer’s camp include guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin and stand up bass (songwriting). The classes are geared towards intermediate and advanced players, so some degree of proficiency is expected.

The registration fee includes 3 days of meals and lodging with a 4th night as an additional option. Please see our web site for infomation.
