Pete Wernick's Bluegrass Jam Camp at MerleFest
Pete Wernick’s BLUEGRASS JAM CAMP
What it is:
A combination of classroom and hands-on instruction by an experienced, understanding teacher, 9:15-5:00 daily.
You will be grouped with others according to experience, and do a lot of jamming, sometimes guided, sometimes on your own!
Pete will give group and individual pointers on instrumental technique, harmony singing, and the how-to’s of a variety of jam situations.
If you play guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass, resonator guitar, even autoharp or dulcimer, you can be part of a bluegrass jam.
Only requirements: You must be able to tune your instrument (electronic tuning devices welcome) and change smoothly between G, C, D, and A. Fast playing is not expected, nor is the ability to solo required.

Wilkesboro, North Carolina
The camp will be held for the first time at the beautiful and spacious grounds of the Herring Ridge YMCA Camp, 10 miles outside of Wilkesboro. Lodging and meal packages available. See http://www.herringridge.org.
