the 11th Annual St. Louis Tionól 2008 April 4,5,6. 2008
Yes, it's early to list it, but you will want to reserve the date now!
This a great Irish Music Learning Experience!! The Mississippi River Celtic Music Festival, better known as the "St. Louis Tionól", is put on by the Focal Point Traditional Arts Center of Saint Louis. It brings in some of the world's most talented musicians in the Irish Tradition. The workshops are a great opportunity to learn from the masters, and the concerts are extrordinary, plus, the people are welcoming and helpful. You'll definitely be glad you came!
The Friday Night usually begins the fun with a concert, sessions and a ceildh at the St. Louis Brewery Taproom. Saturday starts with Workshop check in at 9-AM, at Nerinx Hall High School, with a break for lunch and finishing about 4. The music continues with a grand concert featuring the instructors and friends at a wonderful venue - The Sheldon Music Hall - followed by sessions at two area pubs - The St. Louis Brewery Taproom, and John D. McGurks. Sunday finishes the fun and music with Brunch at John D. McGurks and sessions throughout the day.
