Whether you're a bluegrass fan, or are just looking to break up the status quo of your rock band, join mandolin master Jimmy Ryan as he teaches you the Mando Basics. In this beginner class, Jimmy will teach you how to tune, strum and play some simple tunes - all by ear! Jimmy has been playing mandolin for over 30 years. In addition to fronting The Blood Oranges, Wooden Leg and his own solo outing Jimmy Ryan & Hayride, Jimmy's mando can be heard on albums by Catie Curtis, Morphine, Melissa Ferrick, Mary Gauthier, Laura Cantrell, Warren Zevon, and many others.
