Pete Wernick's Bluegrass Jam Camp in Boulder, CO

Fri-Sun Oct 31-Nov 2, 2008. What is Jam Camp? A combination of classroom and hands-on instruction by an experienced, understanding teacher: Pete 'Dr. Banjo' Wernick. (9:30-5:30 Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.). Open to pickers of ALL bluegrass instruments.

You will be grouped with others according to experience, and do a lot of jamming, sometimes guided, sometimes on your own! Pete will give group and individual pointers on instrumental technique, harmony singing, and the how-to's of a variety of jam situations.

How you qualify: If you play guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass, or resonator guitar you can be part of a bluegrass jam Only requirements: You must be able to tune your instrument (electronic tuning devices welcome) and change smoothly between G, C, D, and A. Fast playing is not expected, nor is the ability to solo required.
