The District 6 Amateur Contest is an annual, mid-level contest that is more about giving folks, young and old, the opportunity to have an Old-Time Fiddle contest experience without having to compete with top level competitors.

So, you have to be a member of CSOTFA-District 6 ($14) and you can't have won or placed your division in an open fiddle contest.

We are a fiddle family and this contest is about giving folks a chance to play and compete on an amateur level. There are no cash prizes. We run it to be the best we can - just as we do the Western Open Fiddle Contest, but we also use this event to train judges and refine our process.
