The 6th Annual Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Tyme Music Festival (Aug 19-21) will be held at Ness Creek near Big River, SK. The event is situated in a lovely little clearing in the boreal forest, just to the west of Prince Albert National Park (though you have to take the Big River highway to get there). While the grounds are better known as the home of the Ness Creek Music Festival, this particular weekend will be dedicated to a smaller and quieter audience. Camping and RVs are the norm, and food services will also be on site for the weekend.  This year’s lineup includes David Davis and the Warrior River Boys from Alabama along with Dehlia Low (N.Carolina), Foggy Hogtown Boys (Ontario) and much more. In keeping with bluegrass festival tradition, a Music camp will also be held at the festival site August 15-19 with instructors from the mainstage line-up.
