Wernick Method Jam Class with Gilbert Nelson

Pete Wernick and I are very pleased to announce three new Wernick Method jamming classes now being formed and commencing in just a few weeks. If you have never experienced the learning curve, the application of ideas into skills, or the camaraderie that defines one of Gilbert’s jamming classes, then by all means you’ll want to get in on this.

* Pumpkintown/Oolenoy Saturdays March 24, 31, and April 7, 9:00 AM till 4:00 PM

Jamming is what most people imagine themselves doing when they take up a Bluegrass instrument. Yet, jamming skills are mostly neglected in music instruction. Jamming is very much a social interaction with generally accepted protocols and yet it is fluid and takes shape as the songs and the jam session itself unfolds. Gilbert will give you the guidance, principles, and clues you need to be a more successful jammer, and most of all to have fun.

Some of you have never jammed before at all. You’ll be jamming the first hour! Others have more experience, and likely more questions. I'll have plenty of challenges for you as well. This “one room schoolhouse” experience offers opportunities for real life jamming ensembles in our small group break out sessions.
