Born the granddaughter of a West Virginia Coal Miner, Roberta has always loved country music. One of her first memories, as a young child of 6, was going to a Country Gospel Show (tent and all) and hearing the song "I Heard It through the Grapevine", watching the audience move around, singing and clapping, she was hooked. During that same year she recalls her extended family sitting on the front porch and, just as you would have seen on Andy Griffith, they were playing really old instruments to include a jug and singing "Country Roads". That song would soon become her favorite song and will release on her first CD.

“I am a country girl at heart and know pretty much every song that comes on the radio, old and new - yep - I'm that girl. :)

My heart is with the older/traditional country music. Major influences are Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Reba McEntire, Patty Loveless, Janie Fricke, and Tammy Wynette.

Top 40 is not out of the question either; Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Trisha Yearwood, Wynonna, Gretchen Wilson, Faith Hill, Adele, Little Big Town, Sugarland, The Wreckers, and Sheryl Crow, .etc. and let’s not forget Southern Rock, Classic Rock, Big Band, Blues, Jazz and gospel…so see, pretty versatile in what I like and sing.

How I got started:

A few years ago I went to a Branson Style Show in Independence MO as a guest of theirs. To my amazement, I was pulled up on stage during a “Tiny Bubbles Skit” where I sang with 3 other guests.
At the end of the night, I was asked to come back and practice with the band the following week.
(I bawled at the thought that a professional thought I was good enough).
I did “guest” spots for the next 4 weeks and then was asked to join the show.

I really want to learn to write music but I currently do not play an instrument. I have a Fender Acoustic Guitar and a Yamaha Keyboard and my passion for music is so rich that I feel I have a lot to write about.

My fans are the most important part of my music. Without them we wouldn't be musicians. It is the love and gratitude that they bring to each and every performance that keeps me plugging away. I can't wait to be back on that stage and seeing the love in their eyes as they listen to each word and phrase.

I truly believe that singing is what keeps me grounded and helps me get through the trying times in life. God has given me a blessing and now it is my turn to use it the best way possible.
