Biography

I'm a middle aged lawyer/guitarist who took up the banjo (Scruggs method) two years ago and can't put it down. Love to jam with others. Just returned from a week at Ashokan playing with many fiddles and mandolins. I don't drive, so far away jams won't work for me. I live in Montclair, New Jersey, and can usually find a ride for short distances.

I play almost any kind of music. I have been in a faux Beatles group (singing, not the banjo), a small bluegrass trio (on banjo and vocals) and assorted pick up groups.

During the day I spend my time counseling families about caring for someone with disabilities, incapacity or terminal illness.

I cycle to work almost daily and ran my first 1/2 marathon this year.
