Biography

I started teaching myself violin approx 2 years ago. After a few months I hired a teacher?, That couldn't teach. Went back to teaching myself again. I became more and more interested in Old Time Fiddle and Bluegrass. Found another teacher, this guy is very good, teaches orcastra, but knows I like fiddle and always thew in a fiddle tune to play with. He went in for bypass surgery early June and took the summer off for teaching. So I'm on my own again.
Went to my first Bluegrass Festival in Newfoundland Pa and I've been hooked. We just returned from our 2nd Bluegrass Festival in Stoney Fork Pa.
I'm looking for another one at the moment. I'm learning how to join jams and played my first jam with my Uncle this last Bluegrass trip. He's played for more then 40yrs and I learned alot. Sad to say he lives a bit too far to travel to and jam with.
I own 7 fiddles at the moment that are playable and 3 or 4 that are not. I also picked up the mandolin to learn struming and cords a little easier.
I'd like to get a Regular Jam going on here at my home please see Single Session Jam for more information.
