Biography

Kim Ruehl has been performing all over the contiguous 48 states for about 10 years now. After eight nine years of playing solo in clubs ranging from CBGB Gallery in NYC to Tipitina's in New Orleans, to Seattle's Jewelbox Theater, Ruehl finally managed to amass a backup band -- Betamax.

Betamax consists of keyboardist/vocalist Karen Lindenberg, also of Seattle's own newgrassers Skitterpup; Mandolin player Dean Luce who also lends his skills to Bellingham's Red Wreckers; and low-end madman/bassist Scott Waitt, formerly of Sugar Thief, among others.

Kim Ruehl & Betamax will be spending Winter '06 recording (finally!) and will be back in the clubs starting in 2007.
