The Bloomington, IL Slow Session meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month (subject to occasional change) from 10:00am to Noon. This Session is intended for newer players, as well as for more experienced players that wish to refine their techniques at a slower pace.

Old Time Music Jam Session
fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar and other instruments
The session is open to everyone, including those who like to listen, but keep in mind this is an informal playing event with no preset program or tune list. If you are just learning, you are welcome to hang out, listen, follow along, ask questions, and/or observe those who have been at it a little while longer.

2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month, 7pm - 9:30pm. Visual & Performing Arts Building, room VPA 33.

Illinois Old-Time Fiddlers Association Monthly gathering

The Illinois Old-Time Fiddlers Association has a monthly gathering in Shelbyville,IL every third Sunday of the month. It will be at the Lion’s Club Building in Forest Park from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. The focus of the gathering is on keeping fiddle music alive. Anyone interested in playing the fiddle, playing back-up for fiddlers, or just wanting to hear some fiddle music is welcome!
