Sometimes you just gotta put the banjo down and walk away !!!!!!!!!! Arrrrrgh !!!!! Frustration knows no bounds. Been attempting to practice for 2 days and couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bass fiddle. The bad thing about banjo playing [or any instrument for that matter] is good days are good but BAD days are BAAAAAAAAAAAD ! REEEEEEally Bad ! Okay, just blowin off steam here. Being under the weather doesn't help matters either. I guess the wisdom is in my opening statement. Okay, I'm better now. Bye Submitted by 5-thumbs on Fri, 2008/11/07 - 1:37pm.

The 5th tuning peg came out on my Leo banjo which I have had for over 30 years now. I need a GOOD repair guy that knows their stuff!! HELP ME!!! I've been told that it can't be glued. I don't want to send it off to unknown parts of the world so I would prefer someone local. I also have a few vintage instruments that may need repair in the future. I am grateful for any help or advice! Linda Submitted by runtime40 on Sun, 2008/11/02 - 11:45pm. Last edited 2 Nov 2008

I have my brand new Gibson F9 mandolin up for trade that I bought just over a month ago at Morgan Music in Conway Missouri. This Mandolin has incredible bass response and volume, and will cut through any jam.... but I am no kind of mandolin player and am looking for a good Stelling or Deering Calico banjo. The mandolin is in excellent condition and comes with a deluxe hardshell case, which I had to pay extra for. I can provide all the original documentation; sales receipt, warrenty card, ect.... You will be the second person to own this mandolin. Submitted by Lucas on Thu, 2008/10/23 - 8:04pm.

I pulled the MSDS for the Mirror Glaze Professional #M17 plastic cleaner and swirl remover to check for silicone content (couldn't attach the PDF), as well as th #10 polish and #18 detailer. Chemical nature components follow: In speaking with Meguiar's this morning 949-752-5784 (11:43 AM Rick) the Mirror glaze plastic cleaners #17, #18, #10 and refinisher #09 have absoulutely NO SILICONE content. Whew, I have used these for several months now with great results and was concerned. Submitted by Michael T on Wed, 2008/02/27 - 12:15pm.

I got my FWI today, props to Mr. Bob Colosi, I called him Friday 2-15 late, got the pins 2-19, well deserved rep he has! I recorded a simple arpeggio played at normal touch and then slower with a harder attack for tone comparison. 1st with the tusk followed by the FWI in my Larrivee DV-09. I used a COU1 condenser at about 24 inches aimed at the 12th fret through audacity with no alterations. I will try to attach it here, (If I can), and for those who prefer a link: Submitted by Michael T on Wed, 2008/02/20 - 12:12pm.

I recently had a chance to audition a carbon fiber violin and I must say I went in with low expectations and walked away throughly surprised. Would you consider something other than a wooden instrument? Submitted by scott.mclewin on Mon, 2008/02/04 - 10:53pm.
