Oklahoma City Traditional Music Association Monthly Jam
The OCTMA was founded in 1984 by singer and autoharpist Anita Roesler, and Winfield dulcimer finalist Neil Gaston. And we're still going strong over twenty years later.
We have always been interested in learning, teaching, and playing acoustic folk music. At each meeting, we offer workshops in a variety of instruments, for beginners through advanced players. Following the workshops are the Play Arounds, where folks of all skill levels take turns entertaining us on a small stage. Then we have informal jams that may go as late as midnight.
Even for a person who doesn't play, OCTMA meetings offer good clean family entertainment. Come join us; you won't be sorry.
Meetings are held the first Saturday of each month at:
Village Christian Church
9401 Ridgeview Drive
It's on N. Britton Road between May Av. and Penn Av.
Easy access from either Lake Hefner Parkway or Broadway Extension (I-235).
