Old-time/bluegrass jam at Quail Hollow State Park
The bimonthly Quail Hollow State Park old-time music jam is one of the best and oldest old-time jams in northeast Ohio (though not including dancing), and takes place in Hartville, one of our area's most old-timey towns (located 14 miles south of Kent, off State Route 43). In addition to the old-time music (and some Celtic music), I think there is also a room for bluegrass music.

This event features two rooms for jamming (one for old-time and another for bluegrass music), both led by veteran musicians. Bring an acoustic instrument and join in (everyone gets to pick a tune) or just come on out and enjoy an evening of listening. Cookies and coffee are available for a small fee.
Quail Hollow State Park, located outside Hartville, Ohio, is a wonderful example of rolling meadows, marshes, pine and deciduous woods surrounding a 40-room manor. Scenic woodland trails, gardens and the house offer a variety of natural and cultural experiences for visitors.
