Old time fiddle tunes and Celtic music. We're an enthusiastic group. Chord books abound, so anyone can play or just come in and enjoy the music. All the usual suspects are there: Banjo, Fiddle, Guitar, Mandolin, Bass, Whistles, even Autoharp, Bodhran, Bones, and other percussion, with the occasional Hammered Dulcimer.
Novice and Experienced Players welcomed!
NOTE: We don't usually have a jam session if Monday falls on a Major Holiday.

We hated to lose the Jam Factory (the music store where the jam sessions started), but we aren't about to let that stop us from continuing to play the music we love. Come join us for a lot of fun and good music! Experienced musicians to newcomers - we'll find a place for you! If you don't play an instrument, we can always use folks to play the audience. 8^)
Join the fun!

I had a great time, well worth the ~100-mile drive from the Springfield, IL area. It actually started at 6 with an hour-long slow jam (or semi-slow because I was there) held in a music shop, and then moved over across the street to a pizza joint for the main event. What a blast. Perhaps 20 people most of whom were well familiar with their long playlist. The place was packed with people eating good pizza and getting a free show, and we even got applause.
I'd say that if you are out traveling it's worth a Monday night stop in Hannibal (as long as you like OT/Celtic with little or no vocals). The slow jam may not stay as an option because the music shop is in the process of moving elswhere. I expect I'll make the trip again sometime.
