These acoustic-only jams are free and open to the general public. Coffee and refreshments are provided. We jam on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays each month, 5 to 11 pm, at The Wells Cultural Center 638 North Street, Lafayette, Indiana. Lafayette Bluegrass Jammers is sponsered by the Tippecanoe Arts Federation.

Enter through the door on the west side on the building. The jam is in the basement level and the front door to the building is kept locked.

Children are encouraged to participate. Beginners are always welcome.

Although primarily a bluegrass jam, some jammers also enjoy old time, fiddle tunes and old country.

For more information, and to be added to the email list, contact glossic@msn.com Please call contact number (above) to confirm jam dates if you are not on the email list. During the months of June, July and August, the jam schedule is limited to one jam per month. To find out the summer jam dates, call (765)532-6086.

Is this really on?

I've showed up on Saturday and found the place locked tight. Is it really still a going thing?

Yes

It is. We've recently been contacted by the woman to runs the jam who alerted us to the fact that the original submitter posted this as an every Saturday event, when it was in fact 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays.

The post has been corrected.
