Every Monday from 6:30 to 9:00 there is a Country Open Mic at the Burger King on 23rd street in Lawrence, Kansas. The jam session has been going for a year but it was just decimated by it's best players forming a band and moving to the 6th street Burger King. They are in search of new blood. They are very lightly electrified. They have no drummer (at this point). It would be possible to go there acoustic and stand up to one of their two mics. I took an amp and an electric guitar and fit in fine. They supply a PA system. The format is people take turns singing lead while the others play backup.
