The Roswell Irish Session

Location

The Roswell Irish Session is open to all players, but is specifically geared toward intermediate level musicians. The session is held the first and third Sundays of each month from 5-7 pm at The Harp Irish Pub, Roswell, Georgia; ten minutes from the Buckhead area of Atlanta. The pub offers a family friendly atmosphere, food and drinks, and there is no smoking in the music area. Fiddles, flutes, mandolins, whistles, tenor banjos, accordions, concertinas, uilleann pipes and bodhrans welcome! We play traditional Irish tunes at a moderate tempo.

For newer players, there is an hour-long teaching session at 4 p.m. before the regular session. It focuses upon easy session tunes, primarily played by ear (but sight readers are welcome). Please note that the teaching session WILL NOT take place on June 20, July 4 or 18, or August 1, 2010. It will resume its regular schedule on August 15.
