Free - Form Acoustic Jam

On a business trip to Tampa in early 2006 I came across a bi-weekly jam right near Busch Gardens. The group is run well and plays a broad range of music. The jam is at a fixed location on the fourth Tuesday and changes locations on the second Tuesday. General info about the jam:

• A regular get-together to play, sing & enjoy acoustic music in the Tampa area.
• First Tuesday of the month, 7:00 - 9:00 pm, at Cafe Kili in Temple Terrace (on Fowler just east of 56th).
• Second Tuesday of the month at various locations (usually starts at 7:00, goes till 9:30/10:00).
• Fourth Tuesday of the month, 7:00 - 8:45 pm, at Sacred Grounds in Temple Terrace (Busch Blvd).

All songs welcome (covers & originals) :

folk, blues, country, jazz, R&B, Americana, alternative, reggae, rock, hip-hop, etc, etc, etc

All quieter instruments welcome :

• Acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, violin, flute, hand drums, singers, etc
• Low volume electric bass & keyboards
• We want to enjoy singing & playing together without hassling with a P.A.

We sit more-or-less in a circle, and take turns leading songs:

• Everyone gets an equal chance to lead songs (they can pass if they want)
• Everyone can play and/or sing along (they can pass if they want)
• Singers are welcome to lead songs that some instrumentalists know

No charge (if we're at a coffee house, please support our host by buying something; if we're at someone's house, bring some food &/or drink if you'd like)

Come anytime; leave anytime.
