Tampa Bay Area Fiddlers Association jam sessions
The Bay Area Fiddlers Association (B.A.F.A) is an organization for old time music lovers who enjoy playing and jamming. We host jam sessions at the Dunedin Community Center, on the first and third saturdays of every month at 1:00 PM. All skill levels are welcome.
If you're taking fiddle lessons or learning on your own, this is a great opportunity to come out of the closet and play with other people. It's also a great opportunity for folks who've studied classical violin to learn to play by ear, and to learn the old traditional fiddle tunes and styles.
Once in a while we'll play a Bluegrass number, and take breaks, but if you're looking for a Bluegrass jam, this isn't it. We'll play along with you rather than listen respectfully while you solo, and the whole thing may seem a little disorganized. We take turns choosing tunes, but we don't usually take turns soloing.
The emphasis is on fiddling, but we also welcome guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo, whistle, squeezebox, and harmonica. Singers too! It's nice if you can read music, but it's not required.
Amplifiers and percussion are regarded with deep suspicion. Better leave your bongo drums in the car.

The page for Tampa Bay Area Fiddlers Association jam sessions has the group jamming on Saturdays, which is correct.
But the listing on the 'map' page shows it meeting on Sundays, which is incorrect. How do we get it changed?

That was a glitch on the site - I need to assess what's happened there and correct the root problem. The entry has been corrected.
