Hello fellow jammers:

This is a friendly jam where everyone who plays bluegrass and old time can get together and pick and get to know one another. Of course, combining bluegrass and old time in one jam circle wouldn't work too well! So we're hoping to facilitate at least three (3!) separate circles at the jam:

* A slow jam,
* An advanced bluegrass jam,
* An old time jam. (If there are enough old time pickers, they may want to split into advanced and beginning circles as well.)

The location is Oceanview park, so there is plenty of room to spread out and add more jam circles as needed. Oceanview also has a really nice playground and some picnic tables for our child-entertaining and snacking convenience.

When: the jam is the 4th Sunday of every month, starting at 2pm. The first one will be on Sunday, June 22.

Where: Oceanview Park (Just off Broadway, east of Ocean St.)
102 Ocean View Ave, Santa Cruz, CA.

What to Bring: Your instrument, your family, and maybe some snacks.

The Facilities: Oceanview park has bathrooms and drinking fountains and a really spiffy new playground, large shade trees and lots of lawn with a view of (you guessed it!) the ocean. It does not have a huge amount of parking, so you may need to drop off your stuff and go park, then walk back.

For More Info: We've set up a Google Group called santacruzjam; please subscribe to it if you would like to receive updates, ask questions, etc. To subscribe, visit:

Hope to see you at the jam!
