The Western Bar- Open Traditional Music Sessions

The Western Bar is fast becoming the venue of choice when locals and guests alike wish to experience true traditional Irish music in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The phenomenal success of The Western Bar's Thursday night Trad Sessions is largly thanks to the wealth of talent on show coupled with an open invitation to anyone who wishes to perform on the night.

Some faces you might recognise include Mike O' Connor (Accordion, Vocals), Hugh Melvin (Flute, Spoons) and Michael Mc Gettrich (Tin Whistle, Clarnet), all playing for your enjoyment and always happy to be joined by musicans and vocalists alike every Thursday night from 9.30p.m.

The Western Hotel proudly show cased not one but two album lanches at this years "Galway Sessions" confirming The Western being the venue the artists choose. Fergal Scahill wowed the crowds with a live performance of his new CD while The Western's own OGMA entertained long into the night in advertising their material.
