Author, collector, educator, and musician, Ralph Lee Smith, plays and sings traditional Appalachian music, accompanying himself on the Appalachian dulcimer.

Ralph Lee Smith plays only traditional instruments made by mountain craftspeople. During his presentation and performance, Smith will feature a playable scheitholt, or zither, made by the late Junior Davis of Linville, Virginia, the last traditional scheitholt maker in America.

While at museum, be sure to visit our temporary exhibit "Everyday Rhythms". Now extended through August 2009.

Seating is limited. Performance included with museum admission.
Call 215-345-0210, ext. 123 for more information.

We hope to see you there!
