Alan Morrisroe is a FORCE OF NATURE!! What more can I say... an amazing old style box player with a style that can be traced back nearly 200 years.

Alan collected quite a following on his last trip, and will be doing a few concerts this time around with the emphasis on presenting extremely rare old tunes. It is his mission in life to keep them alive. He is full of wonderful stories about the music as well.
Alan is originally from Swinford Co. Mayo and has been playing all his life, taught by his grandmother, who learned from the old folks in the village who were born in the early 1800s. Alan has stayed true to that style, and tries to keep it alive and is successfully reviving much of the old music. We will be recording a live CD for him this night... which is what he cares about most, that the long forgotten rare tunes will live on.
You may never have heard of him, but you ought to come give it a whirl, he is loads of fun, a born entertainer, and his musicianship is outstanding. A night that will long be remembered... he is one of a kind, a truly wild and inspired player.
