Kickoff party for The Kansas State Fiddling and Picking Championships

Dear Jammers,

This Saturday, August 27, The Americana Music Academy, 1419 Massachusetts, Lawrence, will host a kickoff party for The Kansas State Fiddling and Picking Championships. We will have a fine pot luck dinner at 6:00 and then jam until 10:00. All (acoustic, stringed) instruments and all styles are welcome. Can't we all just try to get along? If you live close by, please bring some extra food for those driving in from far away. If you are unfamiliar with the Americana Music Academy, check them out at www.americanamusicacademy.org

The Kansas State Fiddling and Picking Championships will start at noon, in South Park, Lawrence, the next day (Sunday, 8/28/11). Check them out at http://www.kansasfiddlingandpicking.org
Directions to Americana From The East: Come to Lawrence on K-10, turn right on Massachusetts Street. Americana is on the left, just past 15th Street. There is a sign in the front yard. Park on Mass Street or 15th.

Directions from the West: Take I-70 to the West Lawrence Exit. Go straight to 19th Street. Turn left and go to Massachusetts Street. Go left to 15th Street. Americana is on the left, just past 15th Street. There is a sign in the front yard. Park on Mass Street or 15th.
