Swing and Standards Jam

Jam update. Saturday, March 28 3:30pm: We are still on for tonight. The first two folks in report little problem getting here. Be careful if you do come.It's certainly been messy here. The ice stopped around 1pm and it's light snow now.

So far many folks have called to confirm, many intend to make it aside from those who are furthest away, especially to the East where the storm headed after the worst bits hit here.

For a few months now I have been promising several friends that I'd host a jam centered around big band, swing and standards. It's a genre I enjoy, but don't have a significant repertoire in. Thankfully I have plenty of friends who do.

This jam will be at my home on Saturday, March 28th from 4pm until we decide we are done. It will include a pot-luck dinner so do bring a dish.

(Note that this jam was originally posted for February 15th, but a personal conflict came up within days of posting it)

We will primarily play acoustic instruments, but a few low volume electrified instruments will be welcome. I will have a piano available (acoustic as well as a digital piano) if that's your instrument. Please 'reserve' that with me in advance.
