Lawrence Scottish Fest Jam Session

You are invited to join in a traditional Celtic jam session during the "Festival in the Foyer" portion of Lawrence Scottish Fest at the Lawrence Arts Center. Please arrive by 5:15 so that the jam will be going strong by the time the doors open to the public at 5:30. From 6:00 to 7:00, the jam session exchanges 15-minute blocks of time with the Great Highland Pipes. (If you're familiar with the volume of 2-3 pipers, you know why it makes sense to take a 15-minute break.) Traditional Scottish treats are available during the Festival, along with a Clan Heritage booth and a KC Highland Games booth.

You are then invited to stay for the "Concert in the Hall" portion of Lawrence Scottish Fest. Connie Dover returns as our special guest this year, along with traditional and contemporary Scottish music by Forest Green, Megan & Maria, and others. Sample haggis at intermission.
