2nd Annual Old Time Music Gathering and Fiddler’s Picnic
Mississippi Mud Pottery in Alton Illinois will host this old time music gathering on Saturday May 28th and Sunday 29th, 2011 Memorial Day Weekend from 11:00 to 5:00PM, both days. Helping to direct the festivities again this year will be Authentic Old-time Hillbilly Fiddler of the Ozarks, Fiddlin Banjo Billy Mathews. Plan to attend this old time music gathering. Celebrate the virtue and the value of this great country. Come and enjoy the bona fide sounds of our earliest fiddlers on the river, Pierre Cruzatte and George Gibson on the Lewis and Clark expedition in 1804. Joins us as we celebrate America’s colorful frontier heritage. This event is free and open to the public. Informed old time jamming at Mississippi Mud Pottery 310 East Broadway in Alton, IL. Don’t forget picnic lunch, lawn chair and your patriotism. “See you there”!
Note: Street parking only, the MMP parking lot is reserved for patrons of the pottery. You can pull up unload your belongings and then find a spot close by.
