Maple Wood Nature Center Folk Jam

These sessions are mostly for Folk, Country, and Bluegrass music, but various other types of music are also played occasionally. We encourage use of acoustic instruments, but amplified instruments are also allowed if that is what you play.

Jams are for everyone - beginners, experienced players, or so-so, or just come by to listen. We especially encourage beginners, as it gives you a chance to play along with other people and pick up a lot of ideas from others.

We use the "round-robin" style - each person gets to do one number, then we pass the mike to the next person. You may always pass if you want - we don't force anyone to perform.
