This is a non-profit group dedicated to the purpose of preserving, teaching and performing traditional Scottish fiddle tunes. Accompanists are welcome (and we are especially looking for a piano accompanist). Cello, bass, viola, and guitar are also welcome.

The format is to jam, then Calum MacKinnon teaches a couple of tunes, then we review sets we've previously learned (music provided), and then we jam some more and end with a potluck.

The Northwest Scottish Fiddlers have performed at Northwest Folklife Festival for the past two years and have also performed at concerts in McIntyre Hall in Mount Vernon and with Alasdair Fraser.

The NWSF recently hosted Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas for a weekend workshop at Camp Casey near Coupeville, Washington.
