Anyone here want to get together for a jam or two kind of at the spur of the moment? Location somewhere near Shreveport, LA, I live in Blanchard and can host a small get together from time to time, I an just a kind of advanced beginner on guitar but am willing to learn from others as we play.

You may wish to post your own request for jams with you location in the subject as I have done, that way folks from around your area will reply when they see the subject. IMHO, that's the most efficient way to utilize this site. Louisiana just isn't in the scope of my post.

I'm glad you were able to find a good jam to join. I thought that surely there had to be some fun stuff going on in that part of VA. :)

We have found that some of the best responses come from our members posting their pin on the local musicians map: http://www.folkjam.org/local/users . If you put your pin up there then the next time someone comes looking for a jam in your area they will know that there is at least one friendly face out there that may be interested in getting together or at least help point out jams in the area.

I would also recommend the map to jwj4856 in order to find people around Shreveport or provide a way to be found.
