Bluegrass and Oldtime Music Association (also known as BOTMA)

This Sunday, October 19 is the next BOTMA event. I have a commitment for Sunday morning into early afternoon but I am going to try to get there if there are a few hours left to the afternoon. So if any of you are planning on being there, we'll probably see each other. Submitted by FolkRocker on Wed, 2008/10/15 - 9:18am

By Sunday afternoon I was feeling a bit under the weather so I decided it would be wiser to stay at home and chill.

I was there. It was interesting but not the most productive of the meets so don't sweat missing it. Hope you're feeling better!

hey there...i agree P T is worth the effort...i been there too...and at BOTMA a friend of Andy and mine was opening act..we jammed together in the park a while ago and she and her daughter were playing there...i agree the rooms were quite packed and there was not much to do except strum along if ou knew the songs but i did have a tasty sausage sandwich and met up with Long Lost Bill..and i was familiar with the group which closed the show so i had more time in listening and eating than playing but for me it was an enjoyable afternoon. would have been better if i had remembered my songbook too..oh well..next time...so is it the 22nd of november?

Thanks for the updates on BOTMA. Sean, I've been noodling around some with my mandolin. I would like to be able to play it a little at the next jam. Have to set aside some practice time to work on a few basic chord shapes. Hope to see you both on the 22nd!

P.S. - Sean - yes, I am feeling better. Thank you.
