Fall Weekend of Folk Music

The Fall Folk Music Weekend of the Folk Music Society of NY, Inc. will be at the Honor’s Haven Resort in Ellenville NY—it’s a real resort. Dates are Friday through Sunday, October 17-19, 2008. It’s a great lineup—Lorraine and Bennett Hammond; Dan Berggren and Peggy Lynn; Evy Mayer; Lynn Noel and Dan Pearl. There are workshops for families and for adults, dances, concerts and people playing, singing, listening and just enjoying the music all around. It’s a family friendly weekend. Some of the workshops geared towards families are a sing around where nobody will be able to sit still; a paper bag mummers play; a “percussion is fun” session; and easy folk dancing for all ages.

You’ll be able to take advantage of full resort, be fed gourmet cuisine and lots more at very reasonable rates. Did we mention that children under 7 are free and 7-16 are $35 for the whole weekend?
