Second Session, Wed October 10

If you are interested in playing old time music, please join us at 7 PM this Wednesday, October 10th, for a jam session, and thereafter on the following 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month, in the Visual and Performing Arts Building room 33. The session is open to all levels of players . Guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo,and other instruments are welcome.

Three volunteer musicians from the Springfield community will be on hand to jam with, and to offer tips on tunes and techniques: Sharon Graf, Steve Staley and Erich Schroeder (Mark Mathewson is out of town this week but will return to later sessions).

The session is open to everyone, including those who like to listen, but keep in mind this is an informal playing event with no preset program or tune list. If you are just learning, you are welcome to hang out, listen, follow along, ask questions, and/or observe those who have been at it a little while longer.

This group is just getting started, and we had a good turnout last time. Come join us for some pickin' and grinnin'. Send out a welcome to any pickin', acquaintances you may have.
