Jam Profile bug
|
I was attempting to fill out the Jam Profile area, and when it asks for instruments, the Shift->click feature selects a range instead of multiple instruments. I cannot select Banjo AND Guitar AND fiddle without having everything between also selected. The same with the genre selections. Something to look at in your spare time. Incidently, it seems that at least once a week I have to re-login. Brad Submitted by Banjo_Brad on Sat, 2007/04/21 - 11:20pm

Brad,
Shift-click is working as Windows intended it to select ranges. Try Ctrl-click to select banjo and guitar and fiddle.
Our login session cookies are set to expire from your browser cache 23 days after your last visit to the site. During those 23 days you should be automatically logged in. I know you visit frequently enough and am not sure why your session is not being automatically restored.
Do you know whether or not you have software that automatically clears out browser cookies? Do you clear cookies manually at times? And the silly question, when you have to log in again, is it from the same browser and computer you previously used, or is it a different browser (ie vs. opera vs. firefox vs. other) and/or on a different computer?

Brad,
I've just added a feature to the site this evening that puts a 'remember me' checkbox on the login form. Check it, and you should never need to log in on that computer again unless you clear out cookies.

Scott - thanks for the "remember me" option, I just used it when I had to re-login today!
Now, once I've logged in, I can't find the Jam Profile area? The only time I saw it was the last time I had to log in and it told me I didn't have anything in that profile.
Where the heck is that thing?

Brad,
To find your jam profile you can click on Banjo_Brad anywhere you see your username on the site, like in the gray bar on the top or by comments and posts. From there click Edit, then you can click on Jam Profile to change it.
I do appreciate that you are using the site to coordinate your jam and thank you for your patience as we refine things. Your use of the site and feedback is valuable to us. Thanks!
Scott
