Old-Time String Band Week: A Traditional Music Event

A week of workshops in old-time string band instruments, such as the mandolin, fiddle and banjo. For beginner to advanced students. Instructors will be named as the dates approach.

The intermediate to advanced workshops will consist of class time with the instructors, as well a group jam during the day, concentrating on putting the tunes learned into a group context.

The Folk Center will have its usual nightly shows, Wed.-Sat., with special performances by the instructors and students (perfomance is not mandatory)as a group.
