"Whiskey Just After Breakfast" contra dance/Irish/Old Time tune jam session

There will be NO session on Saturday December 24th, 2011. The Parkside Coffee Shop is closed that day to give their staff time off for Christmas. Our next jam is a special session the evening of December 31st at Scott's house.

We meet on the second, third and fourth Saturday of each month for our regular jam session where we play primarily contra dance, Irish and old time tunes. Bluegrass, gospel and other acoustic music are certainly welcome but we tend towards the "Carpilation" book from the Carp Camp at Winfield and our own WJAB Tune Book. By default we play ensemble style, but if a tune is called for break passing that is welcome.

Stands and sheet music are common at this jam, and if you have a tune you want to play, bring a few copies.
