Swing and Show Tunes Jam

Our July session happens to fall on July 4th. Because the jam is in the morning we decided to go ahead and hold our July session as most of us will be in town and able to play that morning.

This is a monthly jam session on the first Saturday of each month. We play swing music, standards and show tunes. You won't go wrong if you bring a copy of the Real Book vol 1 and perhaps 2 (although not all the tunes we play are drawn from these books).

The level of play is intermediate to advanced.

We play primarily acoustic stringed instruments. Gently amplified and wind instruments are also welcome. A grand piano is available at the location where we play if you don't want to bring your own ivories.

We meet inside the Greenwood Terrace assisted living facility at 10am. Walk in the front door and look for people with instruments.
