Electric Campfire Acoustic Jam (Sons of Hermann Hall Dallas)

Weekly jam at Sons of Hermann Hall at 3414 Elm St in Deep Ellum district in Dallas. All acoustic (guitars, banjos, mandolins, fiddle, harp etc) "the only thing electric is the camp fire". Weekly on Thursday night starting around 7 pm until midnight. Open to all levels of musicians, singer/songwriters, spectators and OK to bring the family. Players just beginning can learn from more skilled participants. The format is song circle going clockwise with each player taking a turn to sing or play while others jam along. There is a bar operated by the Sons of Hermann organization. This is a historic building with lots of local history and 20th century music history, a wonderful old ballroom upstairs.

The Electric Campfire Jam was started in 1995 by Ranger Randell Fields and has continued to be a hotbed of creativity for local players, writers and breeding ground for new talent
