The Wilkes Acoustic Folk Society (WAFS), www.wilkesfolks.org, invites everyone to the WAFS monthly meeting and Jam. Open for all levels players, dancers and listeners. Located less than one mile off of US421, Exit 286 at Highway 268 in Wilkesboro, NC. Jams are at the Watson Stage (in the summer months), home of Merlefest. In April, during the Merlefest celebration, Jams are held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the week of the Merlefest on the campus at the WAFS tents. During the winter months the Jams are held at the Wilkes Heritage museum in downtown Wilkesboro.
