It was great to see so many few faces at our December session. I am happy to see our Lawrence contingent growing (Thanks Suzie!). Drawing players from Warrensburg MO to Lawrence KS is a wonderful range.

For those considering joining us, we meet on the third Saturday of January for our regular jam session where we play primarily contra dance tunes, Irish and old time songs. Bluegrass, gospel and other acoustic music are certainly welcome, we just tend towards the tunes in our tune book.

Contra dance music, old time, some Irish trad, the occasional gospel, country and bluegrass tune. Come and join us. Fiddles, mandolins, hammered dulcimers, guitars, bass, flute, squeezebox, cello - whatever. Bring it.

Subscribe to this group on folkjam to get access to our tune book if you are paper trained or download the midi files for our tunes if you are ear trained. Music stands are welcome at this session, although not every tune we play has music available.
