There is a new Acoustic Music Jam at Bobby Q's in Arlington Heights, IL.
It starts on 6/8/08 and we hope to continue holding it on the second and fourth Sundays of each month starting at 4:30PM and continuing as long as people want to play before the restaurant closing time of 8PM. We expect a good solid dose of bluegrass, blues, country, folk and "misc" acoustic styles. We will promote a song circle approach in the jams.

LilFest presents a wide continuum of genres, blending international touring artists with student talent, regionally based instrumentalists with emerging singer-songwriters. World music, traditional and contemporary folk, blues, classical are all included. The keywords are quality, community, and welcome.
In its sixth year, the venues include a 100 year old home in Wilmette, a full time venue in Evanston, and other larger North Shore spaces.

Location

occurs the first, third and fifth Wednesday of every month at the Cultural Arts Center in Downtown Greensboro from 6-10 PM. All acoustic instruments and players at all levels are welcome.

Prairie Moon Waldorf School’s third annual May Music Festival on May 3 features nine locally-grown bands, from blues to bluegrass. Add in a maypole dance, children’s crafts, seven picnic-perfect acres and free admission, and you have a truly family-friendly event.

First and Third Saturdays at 11.00 - Waupun Wisconsin

Hello all, we had a great jam yesterday! All in all, we had nine people show up to play some bluegrass music.

The next jam will be Saturday November 17, 2007 11:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. at "Spirits" in Waupun WI. 737 South Watertown St Waupun WI.

This jam is all acoustic, beginner, intermediate, and advanced, players, singers and others are invited. Bring a friend or several.

If you want to use a music stand or song sheets feel free to bring them along.

Location

Since we discontinued having regular monthly jams last July, we decided to have a "Reunion Jam" in January. This will be a potluck supper followed by the jam. Bring a "hot dish" and either a salad or dessert if you come to the supper. Supper starts at 5:30 PM and the Jam starts at 7:00 PM. Everyone is welcome whether you came to the original Round Barn Jam or not. All acoustic instruments welcome; children old enough to participate are encouraged. All levels of ability are welcome.
