The Nashville Old-Time String Band Association hosts an old-time jam on Thursday evenings.
1st & 3rd Thursdays are at Fort Negley Visitor Center, Nashville, TN.
2nd Thursday's jams are held at the Buchanan Log House in Donelson, TN
All levels welcome.

The weekend's offerings will be geared to 5-string banjo players at all levels. Instructors: Sonny Osborne, Bill Evans, Kristin Scott-Benson, Alan Munde, Ned Luberecki.
Topics include: tips for bluegrass banjo beginners, tone and timing, the fine points of Earl Scruggs' style, back-up, special licks and techniques, playing slow songs, and dissections of your favorite Osborne solos.
Sonny will also bring along many of his signature instruments, including his famous prewar Gibson Granada and RB-3 as well as the new Osborne Chief banjo.

The Pegram Jam is an Old Time jam session that's been going on every Tuesday night for six years at the home of Kirk Pickering and Susie Coleman in Pegram, Tennessee, just west of Nashville. We play mostly Old Time instrumentals but our jammer friends bring a little Celtic and Bluegrass to the mix.

All-out old-time jam held in the oldest two-story log structure standing in Tennessee.
All skill levels welcome. We're friendly to newcomers of all ages and skill levels. (Our 1st and 3rd Thursday jams are more focused on teaching, but we'll teach a tune here, too, if the situation and group attending calls for it.)
