Hope to see you there man !!

"Snowin on Raton" is a great song, I'll check out Chordie. As far as the B7, DUDE, C'MON ! I know that technically, it IS a beginner's jam, but it's JJ33, I think we can use a little challenge.

How about "Wild Horses" ? I think we may have tried that one a while back when I brought the Nashville tuned guitar, which I may do again if I remember.

Another great song is (don't laugh), "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica

Just tryin to mix it up a little bit.

There's still a chance I can

There's still a chance I can make it to this one. If I can, can I suggest "Snowin on Raton" by Townes Van Zandt. I don't have the link at the moment but it's on chordie.com. The usual way to play it (in E) can be a little challenging since it has a B7, but it's a very pretty song.

Won't make it this month :(

Just wanted to give you all a heads up, looks like I won't be able to make it this month unfortunately. Wife planned a trip to Niagara Falls to visit with some friends up in Buffalo so we'll be out of town that weekend. Guess I'll have to catch up with you guys at the Sept. jam...looking forward to meeting some more of the group.

Have a great time and happy playing!

-Jay

The 16th looks good for me so far

AND I have a surprise.

As far as songs, I'd like to give Norwegian Wood a try. I'm sure I'll come up with something else too, but I was just on YouTube and there are quite a few different approaches to this song.
