A good day!

That was a good, and long, jam, and a nice day in the park!
Nice seeing all of you, and I'm glad you newcomers had a good time. That's how we lure you into coming back to the regular jams so we have more people to chip in for pizza! Bwwahaha!

Speaking of the next jam, tell me if there are any especially good or bad saturdays for JJ35 in October.

I'm leaning toward Oct 11th, the second Saturday.

BTW, Twelvestringer has offered to have a few copies of that Nazfest song book made and bound and folks can get them and pay him back at the next jam. You can send him a message if you're interested.

It was nice to see everyone.

It was nice to see everyone. A good group of people and a diverse blend of guitars today. Thanks again to Andy for organizing, providing music, vocals and chairs.

Ken, I listened to The Needle and The Damage Done. I think can make out the entire guitar part. Which section are you interested in -- the part under the singing, between the singing parts, before or after?

Weather is looking good for tomorrow!

The hourly forecast is looking better and better with some sun, warm temps, and few showers ending by sunrise.

Other than REALLY flawed forecasting, the only concern might be mud, so I think the plan is to head for the park.
I plan to leave for the park at 10 sharp with anyone who turns up here, so I'll be there at roughly 10:05.

We can all head back to Chez ApK together if it doesn't work out.

And Karen will be here at the house to take phone calls or direct people if they turn up at my door after I've left.

We won't have Internet, so bring chords sheets!!!!

See you tomorrow!

I'll be there also

If this turns out to be basement time, I'll need the address of the basement and directions from the park to the basement.

I'll be bringing a couple of chairs also.

Looking forward to getting together with you guys.

I'll be there

When is the decision going to be made if it's gazebo time, or basement time? I'll bring a few stack chairs in case we need them for the gazebo.

Sorry you can't make it Jim, hopefully see you for JJ35

Looking forward to meeting SparkyD45

See y'all there

Intro

Hello all,
Nice to be here, looking forward to JJ34. Try to not shoot myself in the foot!!
Quick intro: Recently retired corporate pilot. Always loved the guitar
but career/family did not allow me to pursue it till now.
Took a few lessons, know a few chords and looking for folks to play
not too far over my head.

ApK pls let me know where your place is in case of rain.

Thanks,
Mike D aka Sparky D45

JJ34 outdoors

Sorry Andy and fellow JJ'ers, I can't make it this month. Some family things have popped up that need attention. Have a great jam and hopefully I'll see everyone next month.

Definite maybe from me

Definite maybe from me ;)

I'd like to come but it's a bit of a drive for me and I have a bunch of stuff going on this weekend, including some business travel. I'm going to try and make it but depending on other plans I may not be able to.

Funny how at the beginning of the month you have no plans for a given weekend then all the sudden stuff comes out of the woodwork! If I don't see you all there, have a great jam and hope the weather holds up for the jam.

Two days to go!!!

Wow...it feels like so long since the last jam.
I'm looking forward to Saturday!

Hello to SparkyD45, aka Mike, from the UMGF forum.

Welcome! Please post a little introduction somewhere on the forum here and say hi to everyone.

And in answer to a good question from Mike:

If it does rain more than can be mitigated by an occasional dash to the gazebo, the contingency plan for Saturday will be to go right on with the jam at my place as usual.

I would like an RSVP from folks who intend to come just to make sure, but so far I'm sure our usual space can accommodate everyone I've heard from.

This is the vicnity of the park where we expect to be

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=roosevelt+park,+edison+...

It's near the lake, snack bar, restrooms, and there's a gazebo right there for some emergency cover.

Finally, a good excuse for

Finally, a good excuse for missing a jam!

Are you able to get few hours off from work, or do you have to get married on your lunch break!?

Congratulations, bride-lady! Mazel tov and much nachas, as they say in the 'hood.

Our JJ34 set list will definitely include "I Knew the Bride When She Used to Rock and Roll."

Play a Wedding Song for me!

Hi, Guys -

Sorry to have missed the last jam - again! I know, I know...you all now think I am some imaginary friend.

Can't make the jam on 9/13 - cause I'm getting hitched! That's my wedding day...can you believe how fast the time has flown???!!!

I hope to join the October jam, and until then, will pray for good weather for Jersey Jam 34 (oh, and me and Chris, too!) just keep it going.

I WILL be back...and hopefully not embarass myself from months and months of no guitar playing. I've been building up a list of new songs to bring, too. :-)

Cheers, all!

Annie
