And we had a nice time; 4 banjos, one guitar, and the pleasant added personage of Sam Brown, a well-known Tucson OT fiddler! One banjo player broke out his concertina for a couple of tunes, and I was brave (or foolish) enough to add my squawking fiddle to a couple of tunes. Tunes played were: Liberty/Soldier's Joy*, Mississippi Sawyer*, Needlecase, Forky Deer*, Bonaparte's Retreat*, Bonapartre Crossing the Rockies* (Rhine/Alps/etc.), Angelina Baker, San Antonio Rose, Arkansas Traveler, Fortune, Year of Jubilo, Cripple Creek*, Shortening Bread*, Old Joe Clark*, Bill Cheatam, Queen Anne's Reel, Cripple Creek (w/variation), Sally Ann*, Hop High Ladies (Mrs McCloud's Reel), Turkey in the Straw*, Old Dan Tucker, Boatman*, Push That Pig's Foot A Little Farther into the Fire, Barlow Knife*, Wildwood Flower*, Cluck Old Hen*, Whiskey Before Breakfast*, Blackberry Blossom, Golden Slippers, Spotted Pony, Chinese Breakdown*, Soldiers Joy (Reprise)* Tunes with an "*" will be available for listening as soon as I can get them uploaded. The next meeting is on the 31 of August. Submitted by Banjo_Brad on Sun, 2007/07/29 - 8:23pm.
