July Circle is almost here!
|
The July TOTMC session will be happen on Friday, the 27th, at the Oro Valley Public Library. 7:00PM to 9:30-ish or so. I have been notified that the Desert Bluegrass Association received this email from the Miller-Golf Links Library librarian. If anybody is interested in helping, please notify the DBA or the writer of the email: "I’m the branch manager of the Miller-Golf Links Library near Harrison and Golf Links. All the branch libraries were asked to host a birthday party for the City of Tucson, who’s birthday is August 20th (235 years old or more). Our branch is focusing more on a western-type theme to celebrate Tucson’s western heritage, and our family-oriented celebration will be on Saturday, August 18th on our covered outdoor plaza. So far, we’re having a puppet show at 10 a.m., We’d love to be able to have an old time fiddler or bluegrass group presentation after the square dancers; however being a nonprofit, we have no money to pay for someone. Would you know of someone or group that would maybe be interested in doing a 45-minute presentation just for fun or publicity for this community event? It’s sure to be fun, and we’d love to have some old-time music as part of the celebration. Thanks, Ruth Grant Submitted by Banjo_Brad on Sat, 2007/07/21 - 9:40pm.
