… sounds okay to me. Maybe we should assassinate some Roman, uhmm, Italian music?
There’s a small chance that Annie & I will be away, but that’s equally true of most of the month, so I’ll just look forward to it and hope for the best. In other words, almost any date works equally well.
Thanks again for last Sunday. As a 2-month “veteran”, it was fun meeting both you older- and newer-timers.
See ya! - Ed

I am planning to be there on the 15th. For some reason these messages didn't go to my email. I just found them when I logged on at folkjam.org. Every other topic and event announcement has appeared in my inbox before this one.

Sorry, but I have a conflict for the March Jam.
No need to change the date on my account.
I just joined the Bluegrass & Oldtime Music Asso. in Little Silver NJ. They meet the third Sunday of each month. I'm pretty sure that I'll be going there on March 15 and possibly when they meet each month.
I hope to see you guys in April, but I may be out of town parts of that month. It looks like the last 2 week-ends in April would be the best time for me but I won't know for sure until later.
But it appears you'll be having fun without us, so we can't feel too bad. and maybe some folks will head down to BOTMA after the pizza...it's only about 20 minutes away....
oh...and I have a new toy to show off at this jam.....:-)
Hello all, Scott here, the folkjam co-founder. I've been asked whether email notifications to the JJ group are working and I'm here posting a test message to make sure I (and the user who asked) receive the mailing.
My apologies for the off topic message.

I haven't been receiving email notifications for events or topics lately. I checked my preferences for email notifications and I'm still set for 'always.' I've never marked any of the emails as spam, so I wouldn't think my ISP is filtering, though I could be wrong.

hey-ya. there's a pretty large confirmation group considering we are barely past the ides of febRUary. thats good. Frank, did you get to the guitar show? i got there about 1:30. i got some stuff-no guitars tho. ok see ya all next month and maybe do some beatle bluegrass.
Yes, my son and I were at the show from beginning to end. Too bad we didn't run into each other. Didn't buy much at all. Found some old VHS instructional tapes that I scooped up at a great price. Checked out some performances and went to a workshop. Talked guitars with a few nice folks. That was about it. All together a fun day. Oh, almost forgot, I brought an old Vox wah-wah pedal to sell that I had from about 30 years ago that was in great condition. One of the dealers bought it from me at asking price. So that included made it a good day. See you on March 15th.

It's been a really long time since I received any mail from JerseyJam, and I wondered why the group had been so quiet... Turns out every email from folkjam suddenly ended up caught by my spam folder starting at some point months ago, even though I'd never marked one as spam. Not sure what changed but it unfortunately means I missed a *lot* of posts and didn't even realize I've been missing out all this time. Oops!
Hi Scott, don't know if this is related but all folkjam mails started getting caught in my spam filter some time ago. Looking at spamassassin headers from my server, it appears the main culprit is that folkjam mails are being flagged with "FORGED_RCVD_HELO".
There's a good description of what causes this here:
Hi Jay - good to hear from you. Thanks for the tip to look in the spam folder. I just checked and I don't see any messages there. So it looks like for some reason mine just stopped. Hope you can make it to the March 15th jam.

That really sucks that you've been missing messages! But I'm relieved that that is what happened. I was afraid that you'd been hit by a bus, or, worse, just didn't like us anymore!
Your capo is still here waiting for you. Hopefully we'll see you on the 15th?
No to worry Andy, no bus accidents, and I definitely still like you guys! At first I thought the group went quiet, then I suspected there was something wrong with email notifications but things kept popping up to distract me every time I started to go look into it (until now!).
I'm glad to see the group is still active, sorry I missed a few jams but I'm hoping to be able to make it for Mar 15th. Good thing I don't play with a capo much! ;)

Lou, Luke, Annie, etc?
I wonder if they are all* missing the announcements.
I used the group email feature once, but I guess if it's coming from the same mail servers, it'll have the same issue.
Scott, is there a way I can get a list of direct email address for my members? Or can you email them via a different path for us?
Thanks,
ApK

Are any of you receiving mail messages when messages are posted to the group?
